The batteries are re-charged, looking forward to getting back into home delivering fresh local produce again this coming week.
I spoke to my suppliers on Friday to get an update on what’s in season, and what’s good value. Apparently, not much has changed:
- Lebanese cucumbers are still very expensive, so I’m not offering them this week, the continental variety are much better value.
- Red and green capsicum are great value, as are zucchinis, snow peas and cherry tomatoes.
- Strawberries are coming from either Queensland or Western Australia, will decide which ones to buy when I get to the market on Tuesday.
- Imperial mandarins are from North Western Victoria (Swan Hill), as are the navel oranges.
Will from Jindi Free range Eggs will be dropping off another batch of his great tasting, pasture fed eggs on Tuesday, so all is in readiness for our first week back.
This week’s early bird coupon code for a 5% discount is CC55
Cheers,
Michael
