The latest information from the Melbourne Wholesale Market is that it is an ‘essential gathering’ and will not be subject to the new rules banning indoor gatherings of 100 people or more.
We delivered to many new customers last week, and anticipate many new ones this coming week. Staff are holding up well, they are doing an excellent job.
Thanks to those long time customers that ordered online last week rather than getting a phone call from me.
We will talk again!
Deliveries could be delayed this week by a day, will try and communicate in a timely manner. Will deliver on Saturday if that is required.
Will probably stop accepting new customers tomorrow (maybe even tonight), so if you are a regular customer and haven’t created an account, please do so.
As I keep saying, regular long time customers will be prioritised.
There was a shortage of 3kg orange bags last week, so those who ordered them later in the week would have noticed that they got eight loose ones instead.
The following items are in short supply, and limits apply:
Eggs – one dozen per order (might have to substitute brands, but they will be free range)
Potatoes – 2kg per order (they might be bigger than usual)
Mushrooms – 250g per order
Substitutions
Generally speaking we don’t substitute items, however at the moment, I may substitute: cherry tomatoes for mini roma tomatoes; broccolini for broccoli; white potatoes for pink potatoes; one egg brand for another egg brand.
The online store is now open for orders this coming week, please get in early even if you usually get a Thursday or Friday delivery, it will help with planning.
Again, no need to over order, I will be delivering this week and beyond.
Take care all,
Cheers,
Michael
